8 skills for creating items and structures (incl. optional Taming)

Overview

Production skills are leveled by creating items and structures. They offer Bonus XP, Health, Stamina, and Mana rewards.

Crafting Skills (2)

Active crafting skills: Crafting, Enchanting.

Crafting

Level Crafting by crafting items at crafting stations.

  • Default crafting XP: 25 XP per craft
  • Server owners can configure XP per recipe pattern
  • Currency conversion recipes (Life Essence) give 0 XP to prevent exploits

Enchanting

Level Enchanting by enchanting items (via the SimpleEnchanting integration). Default 20 XP per enchantment level, configurable through the XP map.

Repair

Repair is a placeholder reserved for a future release. (Trigger not yet implemented)

Alchemy

Alchemy is a placeholder reserved for a future release. (Trigger not yet implemented)

Cooking

Cooking is a placeholder reserved for a future release. (Trigger not yet implemented)

Smithing

Smithing is a placeholder reserved for a future release. (Trigger not yet implemented)

Skill Tree Rewards

  • Bonus XP - Faster crafting leveling
  • Mana - Moderate mana for enchanters
  • Health - Survivability
  • Stamina - Endurance

Misc Skills (2)

Misc skills: Building, Taming (optional).

Building

Level Building by placing blocks in the world.

XP Values

  • All placed blocks give 4 XP
  • Simplified from the previous dynamic calculation

Skill Tree Rewards

  • Bonus XP - Faster building leveling
  • Health - Survivability
  • Stamina - Endurance for long building sessions
  • No Mana - Pure physical discipline

Taming (optional)

Taming only activates when Alec's Animal Husbandry is installed (via the MMO Skill Taming Pack). On a server without it, the skill and all of its content stay hidden and earn no XP.

How to Level

Tame and bond with creatures (TAME_ENTITY). The pack's XP map also awards XP for feeding, harvesting, breeding, and companion combat, each at a different rate (breeding gives the most).

Skill Tree Rewards

Same reward flavor as other Misc skills (Bonus XP, Health, Stamina); the pack ships its own quests and achievement chains for Tamer level, breeding, feeding, and companion combat.

Important Notes

Placed Block Tracking

Blocks you place are tracked. You cannot gain Mining/Woodcutting/Excavation XP by breaking blocks you placed (anti-exploit).

Luck Disabled for Crafting

Luck bonuses are disabled for Crafting due to item duplication issues. This may be re-enabled in a future update.
